Traditional Landscape Painter

Born in 1972, David grew up in the historic gold mining town of Sofala, near Bathurst in the Central West of New South Wales, Australia. It was in this idyllic setting that David developed an enduring love and respect of the Australian landscape.

David's interest in painting began at a very early age - no doubt influenced by his renowned artist father, Doug Sealy. A family of artists in fact surrounded him. Doug Sealy's brother Charles and sister Jean are both artists, as are Charles' two sons, (David's cousins) Kasey and Ritchie. David's mother is also a professional artist.

David won his first art prize while he was at school. After leaving school and with a deep love of art firmly established in his personality, David undertook serious study of art under the tutorship of his father Doug Sealy.

David has established himself as an outstanding young artist, with great success in many prestigious exhibitions.

His art works hang in many well-known galleries around Australia and features in many overseas collections.

David travels extensively throughout Australia, capturing the magic of the landscape.
